Karin Collins was born in 1976 and grew up in Hangö, Finland. She studied English and French literature and linguistics, and lived and worked in Hampshire, England for nearly twenty years. She has now returned to Hangö and writes full-time.

Collins first novel was published in 2019, and she has written one a year since then. Her first three novels were psychological thrillers set in the 1980s, but her recent, acclaimed trilogy takes place during the Second World War. Collins writes in her native Swedish, and the trilogy has been translated into Finnish.

"Karin Collins shows the physical and psychological damage caused by war amidst the hope of return and reconstruction. It would be of interest to anyone who loves family sagas set in the past with a great sense of place."
